GTR Automotive · findings and first action

Here’s what we found and what we’d fix first.

The first Google Ads cleanup is complete. The next decision is how to build a real marketing system to make sure all bays are maximizing revenue.

4.9★ / 102Google Profile · reviewed Aug 10
$385.09Ads search terms · Jul 11–Aug 9
3 callsAds campaign · Jul 11–Aug 9
$99.4111 search terms blocked · Jul 11–Aug 9
The first paid-search cleanup is live.

Eleven exact searches for competitors, parts, quick oil change or body-shop work are now blocked. They had used $99.41 with 0 Google-recorded conversions.

The working calls cannot be traced to a named search.

In search-term reporting for Jul 11–Aug 9, all three calls sit inside Google’s hidden “Other search terms” bucket. The active campaign and its proven broad-match keyword were preserved.

The reputation is the advantage.

GTR already has 102 Google reviews. The website, Google profile and real repair stories should make that trust easier to see.

What the numbers mean: keep the $17/day campaign steady, keep the keyword producing the recorded calls, finish the lead-tracking test, and turn GTR’s strong review proof into clearer reasons to call.

GTR Automotive · weekly time and output

Choose how fast you want the work to move.

The ad budget stays at $17 per day in every level. And can be adjusted anytime, but the real magic and long term profitability and growth is in putting together an organic marketing engine that keeps building  vs trying to survive with monthly with AdWords.

  • Social: finish 5 repair-story packages; publish 2 on Google and schedule 3 for Facebook/Instagram.
  • Website: complete 2 high-value site units and check them on mobile.
  • Shop: point out 5 repairs, give one short answer, verify facts and share booking results.

Bridge lane: faster site and message testing. Service fee: confirm before start.

Aggressive · fast build

20 marketing hours

Shop time: about 60 minutes each week

Ads + lead tracking1.5h
Website + local search5.0h
Google Profile + reviews2.0h
Social content + reuse7.0h
Local groups + scorecard4.5h
  • Every week: review ads and leads, run one controlled test, check fifteen local groups and compare results by service and channel.
  • Social: finish 5 repair stories + 1 owner-answer package; publish 2 on Google and schedule 4 for Facebook/Instagram.
  • Website: complete 3 high-value site units and check them on mobile.
  • Shop: provide the 5 examples + answer, approve facts and share booked/completed work.

Aggressive lane: 20 marketing hours + about 60 shop minutes/week + current $17/day media. Service fee: confirm before start. Risk: work can outrun capture or follow-up.

One site unit means: one complete page section written, installed and checked on mobile, or one complete call/form path built, tested and recorded. If access or shop facts/photos block it, that time moves to the next approved unit.

Controls deliberately kept steady

  • One search campaign remains active; four campaigns remain paused.
  • The active campaign remains at $17/day with Manual CPC.
  • Keep phone calls as the main result Google Ads counts; it recorded three calls.
  • Do not count website-form activity as a main result until a controlled test proves it works.
  • Broad-match keyword mechanic near me stayed live: 47 clicks, $415.67 spend and all 3 recorded calls in keyword reporting for Jul 13–Aug 11.
  • Broad-match Auto repair near me also stayed live; the authorized cleanup did not include removals.

Report note: “Other search terms” is search-term reporting for Jul 11–Aug 9; mechanic near me is keyword reporting for Jul 13–Aug 11. That is why totals differ. This was a controlled cleanup only.

Website + tracking

Rewrite the home-page top: chosen message, 4.9-star proof, priority services and one obvious call action. Why: a new visitor should understand the reason to call quickly.
Build the first complete service path: ad, page, repair story, Google post and trackable call/form. Why: test one whole path before copying it.
Build/update priority pages: A/C, Brakes, Diagnostics/Electrical, Suspension/Alignment, About/Reviews and Contact/Service Area. Why: customers search by problem.
Test every mobile call button and form; preserve useful URLs; add redirects only where needed. Why: a rebuild cannot break the contact path or throw away search value.
Add service + FAQ information for search systems while keeping the LocalBusiness information already present. Why: it improves understanding, not guaranteed rank.

Google + proof + reporting

Check the Google Profile: categories, services, hours, phone, address and Q&A. Why: many local customers decide there before visiting the site.
Run a Port Richey rank grid. Why: no rank or nearby-town claim should be made without a real starting point.
Capture real shop photos and the clips in the selected weekly level. Why: one job can become a page example, Google post, social post and future FAQ.
Watch NPRScene + Port Richey groups and answer genuine mechanic requests helpfully. Why: those people are already looking for help.
Report qualified leads, booking rate, completed work, sales by source and cost per booked job. Why: the shop’s booking/completed outcomes decide what to keep, fix or expand.
Starting recommendation: keep the completed Ads cleanup and begin the 10-hour build.

Next work is the call/form test, home + A/C path, social content and local-group routine. The Google Ads budget stays at $17 per day.
